Arkasa is a small town, 16 km from the capital of Karpathos. The ancient Arkesia, as it was initially called, was one of the four ancient towns in Karpathos. Even today you will the see remains of the ancient town.
One of the most important monuments in the region is the Old Christian Basilica of Saint Anastasia from the 5th BC. It has marvelous mosaics, part of which you will see at the churchʼs yard. The mosaic floor of this church is now kept at Rhodes museum.
Today Arkasa is a modern town which offers almost everything: hotels, rooms to let, restaurants, cafes, shops, etc.
During your stay in the area donʼt miss visiting the monasteries of Saint Sofia and Ypapantis.

Friendly and very helpful staff, towels and bedcloths are changed every 2 days, spotless clean and spacious studio with great balcony (we were in Apt.4 which has no view from the other apts.) Great value for money ! Should I return to Karpathos, I would definitely come back! Arkasa and Finiki are the best spots to stay to visit Karpatahos. | 5 |

The owners are very kind and ready to satisfied every your requirement. The breakfast is very good with a basis of home made dishes.
